PRODUCTS
We ship products to keep our hands on production.
Operating our own software is what keeps our engineering judgment honest. These are the systems we run - what they are, what they prove, and what they have taught us.

P_01IllDoItApp
A task marketplace, in production.
WHAT IT IS
IllDoItApp is a multi-sided task marketplace - a system for matching people who have tasks with people who can complete them. Payments, reputation, and dispute resolution are part of the product surface, not adjacent to it.
WHAT IT PROVES
- Payments are coupled to lifecycle state, not handled in a separate flow.
- Reputation primitives are persisted in product, not recomputed at read time.
- Dispute paths are explicit, not deferred to support email.
- The same engineer writes the API, the worker, and the on-call runbook.
WHAT WE LEARNED
Operating IllDoItApp is what tells us where the interesting decisions live. They are rarely in the obvious feature - they are in the small interactions between payments, reputation, and abuse handling. That calibration goes into every client engagement.

OPERATING JUDGMENT
What running our own products teaches the studio.
The decisions that look obvious in slide decks are not obvious at 11pm during an incident. Operating our own software is how we calibrate what 'good' actually means.
Failure shapes architecture.
We have seen which decisions hold under load and which buckle under operations. That bias goes into client work.
Migrations, not just launches.
Running a system through schema migrations and deprecations is what tells you whether the architecture was honest. We do this on our own products before recommending it to anyone else.
Operations is part of design.
On-call rotations, dispute resolution, refunds, abuse handling - these reshape what features even mean. Designing without operating is theory.
That is the standard we bring into client engagements.

WORK WITH US
If you have a system that has to keep working, let's talk.
We take on a small number of client engagements per year. The same standards that apply to our own products apply to yours - operations, ownership, and the work that does not get a press release.
